Global Response Plan to Covid-19
Each MdM Chapter has its own legal status and is free to develop humanitarian projects within the framework
of the principles and values of the Médecins du Monde International Network.
The primary aim of Médecins du Monde is to provide high quality and accessible healthcare for vulnerable populations.
This includes victims of natural disasters, famine, disease, armed conflicts and political violence, refugees, displaced persons, minority groups, the homeless population, drug users, and all those who are excluded from healthcare.
Médecins du Monde works also as an intermediary between marginalized people and their governments, administrations and international institutions.
Likewise, Médecins du Monde’s founding principles are based on the collaboration with local partners and their support. The Médecins du Monde Network is currently intervening in 74 countries around the world through more than 330 programs to improve access to healthcare for almost 6 million people.
